Kupo Junior Drop Down (KCP-630)

Overview

The Kupo KCP-630 Junior Drop Down is a professional boom arm accessory designed to maintain a consistent downward-facing angle of a mounted lighting fixture while the boom arm position is adjusted.

It is used at the end of a boom arm setup to ensure that a light remains correctly oriented without requiring repeated manual re-aiming as the arm is raised or lowered. This makes it especially useful for overhead lighting setups where consistent direction and control are critical.

The unit is built from aluminium and steel for strength and durability, while still remaining compact enough for efficient on-set handling. It features a combination of a 16 mm (5/8") baby stud, 16 mm receiver, and 28 mm (1-1/8") receiver, along with a 28 mm stud on the opposite end, allowing flexible integration with a wide range of grip and lighting systems.

A friction-based joint system helps maintain a stable angle under load, ensuring reliable positioning during production use. The design is widely used in studio lighting and boom applications where precise directional control is required.
