Overview
The Kupo KCP-440 4.5" Centre Grip Head with Junior Stud is a heavy-duty professional grip head designed for supporting overhead rigs, butterfly frames, menace arms, and large lighting control systems in film, television, photography, and studio environments.
It features two large rotating aluminium discs with integrated V-shaped jaws that securely grip accessories with either 5/8" or 3/8" mounting studs or tubing. The grip head is welded to a 28 mm (1-1/8") junior stud in a centred U-shaped configuration, specifically designed to keep the load balanced directly over the stand for improved stability and safer operation.
The oversized T-handle provides strong torque for secure locking, while the large 4.5" grip head design offers increased holding power for heavier overhead rigging applications.
This grip head is commonly used with butterfly frame systems, overhead diffusion rigs, and boom arm setups where maintaining centred weight distribution is critical.
