PAIA Manual

This manual is published in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA), and explains how to request access to records held by Movievision (Pty) Ltd.

How to request access to a record

• Complete the prescribed PAIA request form and submit it to the Information Officer at the details above.
• Provide enough detail to identify the record requested and the form of access required, together with your contact details.
• A prescribed request and access fee may be payable; you will be notified of any fee before the request is processed.
• We will respond within the timeframes set out in PAIA (generally 30 days) and notify you of the decision.

Records held by Movievision

Records we may hold include: customer and enquiry records; supplier and contractor records; financial and tax records; employee and payroll records; and statutory records required under applicable legislation. Access may be granted or refused in accordance with PAIA.

Records accessible under other legislation

Certain records are available in terms of other legislation (for example the Companies Act and tax legislation).

The Information Regulator

You may submit a complaint to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or apply to a court, if a request for access is refused.
