Overview

The Kupo KCP-631 Baby Drop Down Pin is a professional boom arm accessory designed to maintain a consistent lighting angle when mounting fixtures on boom systems in film, television, photography, and studio environments.

It is most commonly used at the end of a boom arm to ensure that a light, softbox, or reflector remains level regardless of how the boom is angled. This makes it especially useful in overhead lighting setups where maintaining a fixed direction of light is critical during adjustments.

The unit features a 16 mm (5/8") baby receiver on one end and a 16 mm baby pin on the other, allowing direct integration with standard grip heads, stands, and lighting fixtures. An additional locking knob at the elbow joint allows the user to secure the fixture at a chosen angle, preventing unwanted movement during operation.

Built from chrome-plated steel, it is designed for durability while remaining compact and easy to handle on set.
