Overview
The Kupo KCP-629B Aluminium Baby Handheld Boom Stick is a lightweight and versatile boom arm designed for mobile lighting applications in film, television, photography and video production.
Made from durable aluminium with an anodised finish, the boom features three risers and four sections, allowing its length to be adjusted from 1.17 m to a maximum usable length of 3.05 m. This provides useful reach when positioning compact lighting fixtures without needing to move the entire stand.
The KCP-629B features a standard 16 mm Baby stud for mounting compatible lighting fixtures and accessories. Extension limit markings on each aluminium section make it easier to set the boom to a consistent length, while the large locking knuckles provide a secure grip when adjusting and locking each section.
Weighing just 1.5 kg, the KCP-629B is well suited to mobile production kits where keeping equipment lightweight and portable is important. With a maximum loading capacity of 3.6 kg, it can be used with a range of compact lighting fixtures for on-location work.
When not in use, the boom closes down to 1.17 m, making it considerably easier to transport and store than a fixed-length boom.
