Overview
The Kupo KS-240 Headrest Mounting Bracket provides a practical and flexible way to mount production equipment to a vehicle's headrest. Designed for professional film and television car-rigging applications, it can accommodate equipment such as monitors, recorders, wireless units, focus systems and clamps.
The bracket is constructed from a black anodised aluminium extrusion and measures 42 cm in length, allowing it to fit most vehicle headrests with two support bars. Its multiple mounting points give crews plenty of flexibility when positioning equipment inside the vehicle.
The integrated NATO track features 16 anti-twist 3/8"-16 threads and five 1/4"-20 threads, while a further five 3/8"-16 threads are positioned along the vertical section. This provides numerous options for mounting different accessories and configuring the rig around the available space.
Two sliding clamps are included and can accommodate posts measuring 10–11 mm or 12–14 mm. The clamps can be moved along the track to find the most suitable mounting position before being secured.
Both ends of the bracket feature 3/8"-16 female threads, allowing another KS-240 bracket to be connected using the Kupo KS-128 3/8"-16 male-to-male adapter when a longer mounting rail is required.
At just 600 g, the KS-240 is a lightweight addition to a professional car-rigging kit while providing a surprisingly flexible mounting platform.
