Overview
The Kupo KCP-645 Pivoting Boom Arm Clamp is a versatile grip accessory designed to turn a compatible C-stand riser section into a functional boom arm. It is particularly useful for film, television, photography and studio lighting setups where greater reach and positioning flexibility are required.
Constructed from solid aluminium die-casting, the KCP-645 is designed to accommodate boom tubing between 30 and 35 mm in diameter. The included plastic insert helps provide a secure fit across this range of tube sizes.
The clamp features a 1-1/8" (28 mm) male pin and a 5/8" (16 mm) female receiver, giving you two practical mounting options. The 28 mm male pin can be inserted into a Junior receiver, while the 16 mm female receiver can be mounted onto a Baby pin. This makes the KCP-645 adaptable to a wide range of professional grip equipment and lighting stands.
Its pivoting design allows the boom arm to be positioned and adjusted to suit the requirements of the setup. It can be used with Kupo boom arms and compatible C-stand riser sections, making it a useful addition to a professional grip kit.
When using the KCP-645 as part of a boom setup, the lighting fixture and counterweight should always be properly balanced before operation.
