Overview
The Kupo KS-398 Super Knuckle Die-Casting Shell is a professional modular mounting component designed for use within Kupo’s Super Knuckle system, commonly used in film production, television, photography, and studio environments for flexible rigging of lighting, cameras, monitors, and accessories.
Constructed from die-cast aluminium alloy, the KS-398 serves as the central “shell” of the Super Knuckle system, allowing two compatible 26 mm ball heads to be inserted and locked via a single central knob. This enables highly adjustable positioning while maintaining a secure and stable hold once tightened.
The design features deep internal sockets that improve tilt range and allow greater angle flexibility compared to standard mounts. A central locking knob controls both sides simultaneously, simplifying adjustments during production workflows.
A built-in silicone rubber sleeve helps hold the assembly together when changing ball heads, improving usability and maintenance efficiency. The unit is designed to work with a wide range of interchangeable Super Knuckle components for lighting, camera rigs, monitors, and other production accessories.
