Overview
The Kupo KCP-345 French Flag Arm is a professional flexible mounting arm designed specifically for positioning French flags to control light spill and reduce lens flare in film, television, photography, and studio environments.
It features a 45 cm (17.5") spring steel flex arm that provides controlled flexibility while maintaining stability once positioned. The arm is designed with a dual 3/8"-16 female threaded connection system, allowing it to integrate with compatible clamp systems on one end and French flag holders on the other.
When paired with a compatible French flag (such as the KCP-346), the system allows precise placement of a black metal flag to block unwanted light from hitting the lens or subject, improving image contrast and preventing flare. It is commonly used around cameras for controlled lighting setups in both studio and on-location work.
The flexible design makes it easy to adjust positioning quickly while maintaining rigidity once locked into place, making it a practical tool for grip departments and camera teams.
