Overview
The Kupo KHS-112 Round Butterfly Frame Kit is a professional grip solution for constructing stable, custom-sized frames for silks, scrims and other light-control materials.
Designed to work with standard 1-1/2" Schedule 40 pipe (48.3 mm), the kit provides the essential components needed to build a butterfly frame to the size required for a particular production. This makes it a flexible option for film, television, photography and studio lighting crews working with large diffusion and light-control setups.
The components are made from heavy-duty chrome-plated steel, providing the durability required for repeated use on set. The chrome-plated finish also helps protect the components against wear during regular production use.
The kit includes four frame corners, two butterfly frame ears and two frame connectors. The corners feature welded knobs for secure and straightforward assembly, while drilled inspection holes allow you to check that the pipe is properly tightened. Steel rings welded to the corners provide additional options for securing the completed frame with rope or safety lines.
The KHS-112 is supplied as the frame hardware only, allowing you to use pipe lengths cut to the dimensions required for your setup. This modular approach makes it particularly useful when standard fixed-size butterfly frames aren't suitable for the production.
