Overview
The Kupo KCP-838 Handcuff Coupler is a professional heavy-duty rigging clamp designed for fast and secure mounting of lighting fixtures, truss, and studio equipment in film, television, theatre, and live production environments.
It gets its name from its “handcuff-style” dual-jaw mechanism, which wraps around the tube and tightens quickly using a trigger action. This design allows for fast one-hand installation, which is especially useful when working at height or in time-sensitive rigging situations.
Built from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminium extrusion, the coupler is designed for standard industry tubing sizes of 48–51 mm (1.89"–2.0"). Despite its compact size, it delivers a professional working load limit of 200 kg, making it suitable for medium-duty lighting and rigging applications.
It also includes M10/M12 counter-sunk mounting points, allowing fixtures or adapters to be attached securely depending on configuration.
