Overview
The Kupo KCP-836 is a professional half coupler with an integrated 16 mm (5/8") baby stud, designed for securely mounting lighting fixtures onto standard truss and pipe systems in film, television, theatre, and studio production environments.
It is built from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminium extrusion, giving it a durable yet relatively lightweight structure suitable for daily professional use. The clamp is designed for tubes with a diameter of 48–51 mm, which is the standard size for most stage trussing systems.
The key feature is the fixed 16 mm baby stud on top of the coupler, allowing direct attachment of lighting fixtures and accessories that use standard baby receivers. This makes it a simple and reliable solution for hanging lights without needing additional adapters.
A wing nut tightening system allows fast, tool-free installation, while the curved inner jaw helps protect truss surfaces from damage during mounting.
