Overview
The Kupo KS-058 Baby Offset Arm is a versatile grip accessory designed to give lighting crews greater flexibility when positioning fixtures on set. Its 38 cm offset allows a light or accessory to be moved away from the centre of the stand, making it possible to achieve positions that would otherwise be difficult with a conventional stand-mounted fixture.
The arm features a 16 mm Baby receiver at one end and two opposing 16 mm Baby studs at the other. This arrangement provides multiple mounting options, allowing compatible lighting fixtures or accessories to be positioned in different orientations. The offset design is particularly useful when the stand needs to remain behind a background, set wall or other obstruction while the light is positioned further forward.
Made from durable steel and supporting loads of up to 20 kg, the KS-058 is built for professional film, television, photography and studio lighting applications. The Baby studs feature knurled surfaces and safety-pin holes for additional security when mounting compatible equipment.
Because offsetting a light also moves its weight away from the stand's centre, Kupo recommends using an appropriate sandbag or counterweight to help prevent the stand from tipping.
