The Nanlite Para 90 Quick-Open Parabolic Softbox is a professional Bowens-mount light modifier designed to produce soft, controlled, wraparound illumination with enhanced directionality.
Featuring a deep 16-sided parabolic design, the Para 90 creates a natural, flattering light quality with smooth falloff and soft edges, making it ideal for portrait, fashion, interview, and commercial production work.
Its deeper profile increases directional control while reducing unwanted spill, allowing lighting designers to shape light more precisely compared to standard shallow softboxes.
The reflective silver interior maximises output efficiency while maintaining soft diffusion through included front diffusion panels. Users can also remove diffusion layers to achieve a higher-contrast, more specular reflector-style look.
The quick-open speed ring system allows fast setup and breakdown, making it highly suitable for production environments where speed and efficiency are critical.
A Bowens S-type mount ensures broad compatibility with Nanlite Forza, FS, and FC series fixtures, as well as other Bowens-mount LED, strobe, and continuous lights.
For additional control, the Para 90 supports an optional fabric grid (sold separately), allowing tighter beam shaping and reduced spill for more directional lighting control.
