Overview
The Nanlite LT-80 Lantern Softbox is a professional Bowens-mount light modifier designed to deliver soft, omni-directional illumination for film, photography, and studio production environments.
Featuring a spherical 80cm (31") design, the LT-80 produces a wide 270° beam spread, allowing light to fill a space evenly in all directions. This makes it ideal for ambient lighting, overhead setups, and scenarios where soft, natural-looking illumination is required across an entire scene.
Unlike traditional directional softboxes, the LT-80 creates a wraparound lighting effect, reducing harsh shadows and providing smooth, consistent light output across subjects and backgrounds.
The softbox features a Bowens S-type mount, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of Nanlite fixtures such as the Forza, FS, and FC series, as well as other Bowens-compatible lights.
A quick-open speed ring system allows for fast setup and breakdown, making it suitable for both studio and on-location production where efficiency is critical.
Included removable skirt panels provide additional control over light spill, allowing users to shape and direct the otherwise omni-directional output when needed.
