Overview
The Kupo KCP-710 Super Convi Clamp is a professional modular grip clamp designed as part of the Convi system, widely used in film, television, photography, and studio production for mounting lighting fixtures and accessories.
It features a ratcheted handle mechanism, allowing the user to tighten or loosen the clamp even in tight spaces where a full rotation of a standard knob is not possible. This makes it especially practical in complex rigging environments where clearance is limited.
The clamp is built from lightweight die-cast aluminium with stainless steel components, combining strength with corrosion resistance. It can securely mount onto tubes ranging from 5 mm to 51 mm (0.2"–2"), and also includes a saddle adapter for flat surface mounting.
At its core, the clamp includes a hexagonal Convi receiver system, which allows compatibility with a wide range of accessories such as arms, studs, and mounting adapters. A spring-loaded safety locking mechanism ensures accessories remain securely attached even if the locking screw is loosened.
With a load capacity of up to 20 kg (44 lbs), the KCP-710 acts as a foundational rigging tool for building flexible lighting and camera support systems.
