Overview
The Kupo KCP-7SDL Super Convi Clamp Saddle is a modular accessory insert designed for use with the Kupo Super Convi Clamp system. It is not a standalone clamp, but rather an add-on that expands how Convi clamps can grip flat surfaces more securely.
Its main function is to convert the standard Convi Clamp jaw into a more stable flat-surface mounting solution, allowing the clamp to grip materials like boards, shelves, plywood, or set structures with improved contact and reduced slippage.
The saddle is a small triangular polyurethane (PU) wedge that fits into the jaw of any Super Convi Clamp. Once inserted, it increases friction and contact area, making it possible to mount the clamp securely on flat surfaces instead of only round tubes. It can also be stored under the clamp’s locking knob when not in use for convenience.
This accessory is widely used on set when mounting lights, modifiers, or grip arms to non-tubular surfaces where standard clamp jaws would otherwise be unstable.
