Overview
The Kupo KS-580 iMac Stand Mount Adapter is a professional mounting solution designed to securely attach Apple iMac computers to standard lighting stands and grip support systems used in film production, photography, broadcast, and studio environments.
Constructed from precision-machined aluminium, the KS-580 is built around a rigid dual-plate system that fastens to the iMac using its cable pass-through opening. The adapter is compatible with 21" and 27" iMac models and uses three included M6 bolts to securely lock the computer in place.
Once mounted, the assembly connects to a standard 5/8" (16 mm) baby pin found on most light stands. The integrated receiver also includes threaded mounting points (1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16), allowing additional accessories such as lights, cameras, or monitors to be attached directly to the rig.
The 4 mm thick aluminium construction provides stability and durability while keeping the system relatively lightweight for studio and on-location setups. This makes it a practical solution for turning an iMac into a production workstation mounted on a stand.
