Overview
The Kupo KS-285 Double Plate Quick Release Plate is a professional camera mounting accessory designed to provide compatibility between two of the most widely used quick release systems: ARCA-SWISS and Manfrotto RC2. It is commonly used in film production, photography, and studio environments where fast switching between different tripod heads and support systems is required.
Constructed from lightweight yet durable aluminium with a black anodised finish, the KS-285 is engineered for stability without adding unnecessary weight to camera setups. It features a dual-system design that allows it to be used seamlessly with both ARCA-SWISS compatible ball heads and Manfrotto RC2 quick release systems.
The plate includes two small removable screws that act as safety bumpers when used in ARCA-SWISS setups, helping prevent accidental sliding or dislodging of the camera. These screws can be removed when switching to RC2 compatibility using a hex tool.
Additionally, the KS-285 features a cable anchor port designed to secure and route camera cables, reducing strain on the camera’s data ports and improving cable management during use.
