Black Friday usually means one thing: wait until the end of November, keep an eye on your favourite stores, and try to grab the deal you want before it disappears. But we thought… why wait? This year, Movievision’s Black Friday Lighting Deals starts in October. And there’s a reason for that.
Why are we starting Black Friday early?
If you’ve been looking for professional film lighting equipment, upgrading your kit, or planning your next production, waiting until the last Friday of November isn’t always practical.
Productions don’t necessarily wait. Shoots don’t wait. And if you already know what you need, there’s not much point in making you wait another month to see whether the right deal comes along.
So instead of doing one huge Black Friday push for a single weekend, we’ve decided to start early and make our Black Friday specials available throughout October and November, or, until they’re sold out.
It also gives you a little more time to actually think about what you need, rather than making a rushed purchase because a deal is only available for 24 hours.
It’s not just about discounting a light
For this year’s Black Friday campaign, we wanted to do something a little more special than simply putting products on a sale. So we created Black Friday combo deals!
The idea was simple: take equipment that works well together and put it into practical packages, giving you more of what you actually need to get the job done. That means you’ll find combinations of Nanlite LED lights, softboxes, modifiers, Kupo stands, sandbags, grips and other accessories across all our specials. Whether you’re building a compact lighting kit, putting together a small studio setup, shooting interviews and portraits, creating content, or looking for more serious production lighting, there’s a good chance you’ll find something worth looking at.
And because we’re Movievision, we’re not interested in simply throwing random products together because they happen to be on sale. We work with this equipment. We know how it gets used. And we wanted the combinations to make sense.
From compact kits to serious production lighting
There’s a bit of everything in the current Black Friday specials. Looking for something compact and portable? There are smaller Nanlite setups that make sense for creators, photographers, interviews and location work. Need more output? We’ve put together options featuring fixtures such as the Nanlite FS-150B, FS-300B and FS-300C, paired with modifiers and Kupo support equipment.
And if you’re looking to build a proper multi-light setup, there are larger packages too, including a Nanlite Forza 60B three-light kit, complete with three Kupo stands and sandbags.

The goal isn’t to make you buy more equipment just because it’s on special. It’s to make it easier to put together a setup that actually works.
And yes, the stock really is limited
This is probably the most important part.
These aren’t unlimited Black Friday deals.
We’ve put together a limited number of each combo based on the stock we have available. Some have only one available. Others have a handful.
Once a particular combo is gone, it’s gone.
We’re running these specials until they’re sold out, so if you’ve had your eye on something, don’t assume it’ll still be there when Black Friday officially rolls around in November.

We’re not trying to turn Black Friday into a race.
We’d rather give you more time to find the right equipment, work out what you actually need and get your hands on a worthwhile deal before the end-of-year rush.
